dreamland and the road that leads there

I just came downstairs from my daughters room where I had been laying with her, she is now asleep, on her way to dreamland. What a trip its is, the process of winding down the 3 year old brain. She starts by putting up some sort of resistance, tonight it was the old, " Im too hot in these pants, I need to change into shorts " So I roll with it, and when she is done with the wardrobe change, its on to further distractions that range from silly banter, and tickling, to serious Q&A. Tonight she asked me out of the blue where one of her friends dads was. This friend unfortunately has a dad who lives far away, and is not "in the picture" So I tried my best to gently explain the idea that some mommies and daddies don't stay together, witch immediately prompted a serious look, and her sweet gentle hand on my arm. I looked her and with all my heart and honesty and told her that I will never leave mommy, and that we will be together as a family forever. In that moment I felt so confident, and realized once again how blessed I am to have my wife, and daughters, and I truly will never leave them, or let them down in any way. The Q&A then winded down, and I began my tactic of pretending to sleep, this includes several yawns, cozy wiggling into my pillow, smiling big with my eyes shut. She watches me, and I aim for her to see how much Daddy is enjoying sleep. This doesn't always work, but tonight it did, and she fell asleep so peacefully. I stayed and watched for a few minutes, feeling proud, blessed, and so happy. Sweet dreams my sweet child. Namaste

positive vibrations

If you are reading this, I hope you are comfortable, smiling, or at least content in the moment. This blog I am creating is being put in motion to send good energy out into the universe. This being my first blog, I will briefly introduce myself for anyone who has randomly stumbled upon this on their travels through the galactic super web of Internet. I am a human of 32 years, I am a father of two girls, and the lover of a beautiful woman who I have spent half of my living moments with.I dwell in the beautiful state of Vermont. I work with gourmet food, I am passionate about fungi, and my mission on the planet is to bring light into the darkness. I aim to do so by consuming positive energy through many different outlets, and sharing that energy with anyone who I can communicate with. Being a father to two girls is the greatest joy I have experienced to date, the love they bring into my life is more powerful than any source of energy I can fathom. If you are still reading, bless your soul. That's a brief intro to who I am, stay tuned for more thoughts, insights, and random stories of my encounters with the universe. Be well.
